Job Description:

Aliquantum International is seeking a full-time Order Picker/Forklift Operator for our distribution center located in Ontario, California. The Order Picker/Forklift Operator will be responsible for receiving, locating, pulling, staging, and loading/shipping all related products and completing all corresponding paperwork to each order processed. He or she will operate all equipment (stand-up hi-los, pallet jacks, deep reach narrow isle forklifts etc.), In addition, the Order Picker/Forklift Operator will maintain a clean, safe work area free from excess debris on floors, racks, and outside dock areas; complete all paperwork necessary to locate products / inventory to be subsequently pulled for order fulfillment; and properly record receipt of products / inventory for accurate data entry into the operating system.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and experience working in a similar position that includes warehouse duties. This position requires the physical ability to lift boxes or product with a maximum weight less than 50 pounds as well as be on feet majority of the day, bend, knee, and push and pull product. Candidates must be available to work irregular hours and possible extended hours and must have the ability to operate a forklift and order picking equipment (training will be provided). A valid driver’s license and a good driving record is also a must. Travel to various client locations or retailers distribution centers maybe required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Physically unloads, sorts, and palletizes related products
  • Checks receipt of related products against the packing list / product list
  • Checks all related products and packaging for any signs of damage
  • Notes any and all discrepancies on the shipper’s Bill of Lading
  • Notifies the Operations Manager of any discrepancies
  • Finds and places palletized related products in the appropriate location
  • Writes the location on the appropriate paperwork
  • Moves related products from its location to the appropriate staging area
  • Checks related products against the packing list / product list
  • Notifies the supervisor of any discrepancies
  • Locate and pull related products for daily orders
  • Apply applicable labels for shipping related products
  • Process applicable paperwork for daily shipments
  • Report to supervisor with daily shipment status
  • Operates all equipment (stand-up hi-los, pallet jacks, deep reach narrow isle forklifts, etc.) in a safe manner, ensuring that equipment is kept clean and free of debris
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area, free from excess debris on floors, racks, and outside dock areas
  • Completes paperwork necessary to locate related products inventory to be subsequently pulled for order fulfillment
  • Properly records receipt of related products inventory for accurate data entry into the operating system
  • Interfaces with co-workers and approved subcontractors
  • Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results or projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least three to six months of related experience and/or training that includes warehouse duties (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience with forklifts (deep reach narrow isle forklift experience a MUST)
  • Experience using a personal computer in a Windows-based environment
  • Experience working in a similar position in the industry or a related field
  • Must achieve and maintain technical and professional proficiency, shipping and receiving processes and procedures, inventory management, and fork lift operations
  • Must have the physical ability to load and unload boxes or product with a maximum weight less than 50 pounds, be on feet majority of the day, bend, knee, and push and pull product
